Wish Fulfilled

Updated: Apr 28

A true story in which all of the magic of manifestation, imagination, and pure knowing is aligned.

I brought my three year old granddaughter to the library one blustery winter day in December. Outside, the wind whipped our coat strings back and forth against our bare faces and wet flakes of snow landed on our eye lashes blurring our vision as we raced across the parking lot. Finally we reached the thick glass doors that invited us into a large stately lobby. To the right was the entrance to the library we had intended to explore, and to the left was a wonderful indoor garden replete with small man-made waterfalls, fountains, plants of all kinds, and a long, trail that wound down to a whole different level.

"What does that trail lead to?" I asked of a librarian as my granddaughter and I wriggled out of our winter accessories.

"That's our indoor playground." The librarian answered with a smile.

My granddaughter's eyes lit up.

"A park?" She exclaimed, the anticipation written all over her face. "Gramma?" she half questioned, half begged.

I shrugged, "Okay."

We entered the garden trail and began our descent to the lower level. Along the way we came upon a wishing well that was being fed by one of the many water fountains in the garden. There were coins strewn all about the rim of the well and down into the water. I turned to my granddaughter.

"Did you know that we can take a penny and make a wish in that well and see if it comes true?"

I dug in my purse for a few coins and handed one to her. She took the penny rubbed it in between her tiny fingers for a bit and then with great ceremony she tossed it into the well.

Then she folded her hands in front of her face, closed her eyes real tight, and declared,

"I wish ... I wish that I could be at the park downstairs. And..." she turned her face and gave me a quick glance then went back to her wishing.

"I wish Gramma Andi was there with me too."

And with a huge open smile and pink ruddy cheeks, barely able to contain her excitement, she darted off down the trail to the entry of the playground. As we approached, a young man wearing an official badge swung open the gates and motioned for us to come inside.

My granddaughter rushed in and took in the whole site; the playground with its swings, forts, tunnels, slides, and even a fake stream with a huge boat for climbing on. She saw all the kids that were running around, already enjoying their visit.

Then she turned back to me and yelled,

"Whhooowww! Gramma, Oh My Gosh!! Wishes really DO come true!!"

Do you know why that story contains within it every single detail we ever need to know about manifesting our true desires? When you do, let's meet and talk about it.

Hint: she made the wish from a place of absolute certainty, knowing already that her desire was to come to fruition.

Until then,

Your Living Witness,

About Me

Hello, I'm Andrea.  I wax poetic a lot of the time and embellish adjectives for the sake of the imagery and enjoyment of reading.  But please note that every story is true and happened to me.  I write with authority. Magic does really exist and miracles happen every day.

My wish is that you read my words for entertainment and inspiration.  And that soon you'll contact me to add your words to our collective dialogue of creating the new life we've always imagined it could be.
